superjazbo: your everyday superhero in disguise

This is where i express myself after I've exhausted myself with doing my job of putting smiles on people's faces. Good on you for finding it.

God provides.

It always seems that whenever I’m down to my last bit of funds, something incredibly awesome happens that makes sure I’ll be good to go for months. A few months ago, I was down to my last $20, but desperately needed to buy university text books. The next day, I checked my bank account and there was $1,000 conveniently sitting there, thanks to a government hand-out that I knew nothing about.

This week, however, I was down to my last $7 before having to dip into my emergency savings. I had been looking for a job for over 7 months, and been rejected from every single one.

I was sitting with my mate at Maccas a few days ago, eating $1 fries, having an epic life discussion and complaining about my lack of employment. After I had vented that absolutely no-one wanted to employ me, he sat and thought for bit. Then he said:

“You should try like a childcare place or after-school care. You could be really good there.”

I immediately said no way. They require certification and I’m nowhere near qualified, plus, no-one was hiring. I grabbed my phone to prove to him that there was no childcare jobs around on my Seek app…

But there was one, just added 30 minutes beforehand.

My friend looked at me and said:

“…There’s one!”

I applied yesterday. I passed 4 recruitment stages in that one day. The job is perfect. You get paid to play with kids. Just play and have fun. It doesn’t clash with uni or church. You can learn the qualification while you work. The pay is great.

And I start next week.

There’s no way on this earth that these things are some crazy coincidences. You can’t just go to bed one night wondering how you’re going to make it through the week, wake up and realise you’ve just been given a huge handout, and blame it on chance. You can’t just get employed in a perfect job overnight after coming off of months of rejection, and think that you’re just lucky.

No. This isn’t luck or chance… this something entirely different.

Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?‘ or ‘What will we drink?‘ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?‘ …for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Matthew 6:31-32

If you’re gonna be an HOUR late to pick up your son for dinner on HIS birthday, you let him know. Just a quick phone call, or even a text message will do.

Its called COMMON COURTESY and its NOT that hard.

If you’re young, try not to get involved with the “too cool” crowd. That quickly becomes the crowd that’s too cool to work hard, too cool to take chances, and too cool to succeed.

Things I need to do:

Play the piano. Not all the cool synth sounds I love. The PIANO. LEARN THE PIANO. Coz I really suck at that the moment.
